Therapy should be transparent. Below you will find answers to FAQ. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out.

FAQs

  • You don’t need a clear diagnosis or a dramatic reason to begin therapy. Many people come because they feel anxious, stuck, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward—especially in relationships or in their sense of self. If something feels persistently “off,” therapy can be a place to explore that gently and without judgment.

  • Psychodynamic therapy focuses on understanding how early emotional experiences—especially what was missing or unspoken—continue to shape your relationships, anxiety, and inner life today. Rather than offering quick fixes, this approach emphasizes insight, emotional understanding, and lasting change over time.

  • You will never be required to sign a contract for any length of service and you will be free to discontinue therapy at any time. The truth is, the journey is different for everyone. I do not have a set protocol for treatment because I believe in the individuality of each person and know that as we uncover more about you, the path of our work together may change. In general, therapy comes to an end when both you and I feel that you have processed the feelings you came here to process and have reached your therapy goals.

  • I provide virtual therapy to adults throughout California. I am based in Sherman Oaks, CA, and am licensed to work with clients statewide. Online therapy allows for flexibility while still offering meaningful, relational work.

  • At this time, I am not accepting insurance as a form of payment. Payment can be made through Zelle or Venmo and is due each week at the time of service. I can create a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.

  • Individual (adult or adolescent) sessions cost $175 for a 50-minute session. A session for a couple (also 50 minutes) costs $200. Payments are accepted through Venmo, Zelle, credit card, or HSA card. There are a small number of spots I have available for a reduced fee, which would be available based on financial need. If you believe you would qualify for one of these spots and would benefit from this, please feel free to inquire.

  • You have up until 24 hours prior to your appointment to cancel or reschedule. If you need to cancel within 24 hours of your appointment, you will be charged the full fee of the session.

  • I am currently offering sessions Monday-Thursday at a variety of times throughout the day and early evening. During our consultation call, we will determine a day and time that works best for both of us.

  • Yes. Many people who benefit from therapy grew up in homes that looked stable or loving from the outside, yet lacked emotional attunement or support. Emotional neglect is often subtle, and its impact can be easy to dismiss. Therapy can help you understand how these early experiences may still be affecting you now.

  • Yes. Many of my clients are artists, writers, or creative professionals. I also work with people who are deeply thoughtful or emotionally sensitive, even if they don’t identify as “creative.” These individuals often experience anxiety, disorganization, or existential concerns that benefit from depth-oriented therapy.
